The movers are bringing our furniture (and the many boxes) in their big ol' Semi truck, on our little street! Can't wait! Bye bye Bachelor Pad. Toss out the plasticware and unwrap the dishes! Unpack my K-cup Coffee Maker, and sip on coffee while sitting on a comfy sofa! I can move the lawn chairs to the lawn! Deflate the air mattresses, and sleep, restfully, on a King bed; with throw pillows and a soft comforter! I get to use dresser drawers and not live out of a suit case! Our daughter will have her kiddie table in the backyard again, for sunny afternoons eating a Popsicle! Andrew will have his computer desk and nice chair instead of this card table and metal folding chair. When I sit in this metal folding chair for too long, my but falls asleep. I want to swivel in my desk chair, and type in comfort.
Lawn chairs in the living room, "Sofa"
It is amazing to think of all the comforts that we pack away and stuff in boxes. When I went a week without my comforts and things, it was like camping indoors, on just the essentials. I look forward to my comforts, I don't look forward to all the boxes those comforts are packed up in! It will be a while where boxes are cluttering up our comforts and making it uncomfortable to live around, but soon the boxes will be flattened and recycled. The items and furnishings will soon be filling our home up with the memories and comforts these bring. I hope everything fits well in our town home, after downsizing from the 3 bed room house to this 2 bedroom rental...? We got rid of so much already, but I believe we may get rid of some more of our things soon to make room in the smaller space. What ever we end up with, it will be far better than the lawn chairs, plastic-ware and air mattresses. No more camping out indoors!
